about

2019. The germs of an idea formed between Johny Nocash and Albert Hartley, aka Binmonkeyy. Two y’s. Why? Anyway, the idea: an album of love songs - Johny doesn’t write love songs - love songs to slugs, public houses, old friends, the people we hold dearest, the future - speckles of light poking through the claustrophic damp grey of a northern upbringing.

Then the world went awry.

2021. The lost album is rediscovered. And here it is, brought to you in digital extended-play-stroke-mini-album format.
